Last week at Gainsborough…
FroG’s Halloween Ball
We had a terrifyingly good time at our annual FroG’s Halloween Ball on Friday! Thank you to all of our staff and families who made it possible. The children ate hot dogs, made Halloween pesto pizzas, and drank our delicious Gainsborough hot chocolate with marshmallows. It was lovely to see the younger children playing in the younger children’s section, which was quieter and calmer. Our face painters have also honed their craft, improving on last years face painting! DJ Debs made an appearance and led everyone through a well choreographed thriller routine, thank you! Thank you to Charlotte, and the FroG’s families for setting up the party and supporting it throughout.
We are looking for more members to join the FroG’s (Friends of Gainsborough) please keep an eye out for their AGM to get involved this year!

Well done Reception Doves
Reception have moved into their new classrooms this week and the feedback from the children has been fantastic. It has been so lovely to see them enjoy the larger continuous provision areas. They have accessed the construction area with real purpose; making huge towers, counting blocks and comparing their structures.

Run Gainsborough Run – Sunday 17th November 2-4pm
Please join us for the fundraiser of the year! Run Gainsborough Run is organised by Run Kids Run https://runkidsrun.org/ They support schools to complete a fun and friendly run, to provide sponsorship from corporate sponsors and to provide an event the school can collect sponsorship for. Previously, these events have raised a whopping £6000 a year for the school. This huge amount was made up of £5000 from the corporate sponsors, when the school has over 30% of school turn out to run, and a whopping £1000 of sponsorship money from the children’s friends and families. We hope to have over 70 runners this year so that we access this huge funding pot again! This is our single biggest fundraising event of the year, and previously this has contributed to resources for the children to all enjoy, like the resurfacing of the football cage.
