Learning Logs are given out at the start of each school year to children in years 1-6. These must be brought to school every day and taken home every night.
Children are expected to read their level reading book for 20 minutes every night. In addition, class teachers will set weekly homework in Writing and Maths. Writing homework is based on a whole school text or event. All children have a similar task adapted to their level so that families can support siblings at home and discuss the homework. Maths homework reinforces learning that has taken place in the classroom during the week.
All homework will be given out on Fridays and should be returned the following Tuesday. Children should record the following information in their reading logs:
Please contact the class teacher if your child does not seem to be bringing homework home.
