Assistant Cook

The Assistant Cook, will support the school’s chef in the preparation and daily delivery of service within the school kitchen and lunchtime service. You will be expected to work in accordance with the required standards and statutory regulations to ensure the efficient and economic use of all allocated resources. 

The Assistant Cook may be expected to step up and lead the kitchen team in the absence of the chef. In addition the successful candidate will support the current catering team in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintenance of due diligence procedures and any associated bookwork will be an essential part of this role.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours: 15 hours per week (hours to be determined between 10.30am and 3.00pm) term-time only

Closing Date: 9.00am on Friday 13th December 2024

Interview: Tuesday 17th December 10.00am-2.30pm (kitchen trial). Formal Interview to follow for successful candidates (2.30-3.30pm) Candidates must be available for the full duration (10.00-3.30)

Scale: 2, points 3-4 £10,443.56-£10,831.06 pro rata (£28,881-£29,286 FTE based on working 36 hours across 52 weeks of the year)

Cleaner

Gainsborough Primary School is looking to appoint a highly motivated and talented Cleaner to work alongside our dedicated site staff in order to ensure that the school building is maintained to the highest possible standard in order to ensure that we can provide the best possible learning environments for all of our pupils. The role requires someone who is passionate about their role and has proven experience of working as part of a dedicated team in an active cleaning role. 

Previous experience of working as a cleaner is essential. If you are committed to working as part of a dedicated team, who thrives within a busy environment then we would like to hear from you. This position is being offered on a permanent contract upon successfully completing a probation period of six months.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours: 12.5 hours – 15 hours per week (between 5.00am to 8.00am)

Term: Term time only plus 3 weeks

Closing Date: 9.00am on Friday 13th December 2024

Interviews: Tuesday 17th December, 5.00-7.45am (Cleaning Trial). Formal Interview to follow for successful candidates (7.45-8.30am). Candidates must be available for the full duration (5.00-8.30am).

Scale: 2, points 3-4 – £9,372.28-£11,664.22 pro rata range based on 12.5-15 hours min and max rate (£28,881-£29,286 FTE based on working 36 hours across 52 weeks of the year)
