Cook Supervisor
The Cook Supervisor will be responsible for the delivery of mealtime services for the Gainsborough community which ranges from 9 months to 11 year olds. This will include the delivery and service of lunchtime meals for all pupils and an evening meal for our preschool and wraparound care pupils.
You will be expected to work in accordance with the required standards and statutory regulations to ensure the efficient and economic use of all allocated resources. You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a varied menu that considers the dietary requirements of our pupils; this will include management of orders and costing exercises to ensure best value is achieved.
The successful candidate will effectively manage the catering team to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen. An essential part of this role will be the maintenance of due diligence procedures and the management of all associated paperwork.
Start Date: September 2024
Hours: 35 hours per week (8.30am to 4.30pm with a 1 hour break) term-time only plus four additional weeks to be worked during holiday closure periods.

Assistant Cook
The Assistant Cook, will support the school’s chef in the preparation and daily delivery of service within the school kitchen and lunchtime service. You will be expected to work in accordance with the required standards and statutory regulations to ensure the efficient and economic use of all allocated resources. The Assistant Cook may be expected to step up and lead the kitchen team in the absence of the chef. In addition the successful candidate will support the current catering team in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintenance of due diligence procedures and any associated bookwork will be an essential part of this role.
The post is initially for a fixed term contract until July 2025, however there may be room to extend this beyond that date and the possibility to become a permanent position in the future.

Hours: 15 hours per week (hours to be determined between 10.30am and 3.00pm) term-time only

Cleaner
Gainsborough Primary School is looking to appoint a highly motivated and talented Cleaner to work alongside our dedicated site staff in order to ensure that the school building is maintained to the highest possible standard in order to ensure that we can provide the best possible learning environments for all of our pupils. The role requires someone who is passionate about their role and has proven experience of working as part of a dedicated team in an active cleaning role.

This position is being offered on a permanent contract upon successfully completing a probation period of six months.
